I’m often asked why I chose this profession, but the truth is, it chose me. I believe the most meaningful work is found where your strengths and passions meet. Since becoming a Wedding Celebrant in 2017, I’ve had the privilege of learning so much about love and relationships in all their beautiful, diverse forms.

Working in this industry has taught me so much about love, relationships, family dynamics, partnerships evolving through time, celebrating whenever you can with those you love. This job has forever altered my outlook on life.

Before this chapter, I worked in Government,  a role that, while important, often left me emotionally drained (IYKYK). There’s something about giving so much of yourself
without seeing joy reflected back that can slowly wear you down. Becoming a
celebrant changed that. This work fills my cup in a way I didn’t even know was
possible it connects me to people at their happiest, most meaningful moments, and that is incredibly grounding and fulfilling.

Now, I get to do my dream job surrounded by the tropical beauty of Port Douglas, Palm Cove and Cairns. Every wedding day, I drive away feeling deeply grateful, thankful for the couples who trust me with their love story, and forever amazed that this isn’t just a job to me, it really is my purpose.
